This is a portrait of the Egyptian filmmaker Taufiq Salih who struggled to make important Arabic films between the 50s and the 70s with a powerful social and political dimension. He was part of the new generation of directors with Shaheen and Abu Seif who worked on realistic films. Two of his major films are: The Rebels (1966) and The Duped (1972) Taufiq Salih was were produced in Syria and were one of the first Arab films to give quite a remarkable approach of the Palestinian question.
