Nadi Lekol Nas archives independent cultural content to democratize cultural memory. While respecting and protecting the copyrights and intellectual property of artists and rights holders, the organisation opens ‘archives’ by transforming them into common and collective property.
For Nadi Lekol Nas, the information belongs to all and archiving is the backbone to saving our cultural heritage. The organisation thus believes in investing and building a collective memory through films, music and writings. Since 1998, the association, as a strong believer in the civic role of arts and culture, has been documenting independent cinematographic and musical productions from the Arab region, including works dating back to 1930.
Nadi Lekol Nas aims to promote artistic and popular heritage production in its diversity through its dissemination, archiving and distribution.
It also collects and documents content about artists, directors and musicians (articles, photographs, posters of films, press reviews, etc.) to contextualize cultural works from the moment they are produced.
